Pig Hunt Sign Ups


Midnight Thursday 20th June till 10am Sunday 23rd June 2019. Weigh in  9am –10:30am Sunday 23rd June 2019. No weigh-ins after 10:30am.


Te Ranga Community Hall, next to Te Ranga Primary School, 1492 Te Matai Road, Te Puke


$50 per entry for up to a two-member team, (brunch included). Payment  details below. Entries close Wednesday 19th June 2019 @ 7pm. No late entries, no exceptions.


Single entry, maximum 2 boars per entry/team.
BOARS ONLY. No barrows or sows.
All boars entered must be caught by the entrant only.
Minimum pig weight 25kgs.
All pigs must be wild. No farm reared or frozen pigs.
All pigs must be presented CLEAN GUTTED WITH TESTICLES LEFT IN.
All pigs must be weighed in one piece.
All pigs must be caught during competition hours. No late boars will be
No decomposing pigs accepted.
In the event of a tie, the pig weighed in first, claims the prize.
Hunters must have all necessary permission and permits.
You must be present to collect prizes or it will be redrawn.
All boars must be displayed until the end of prize giving, and then must
be claimed by entrants to collect
and take with them.
THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. Judges reserve the right to withhold prize
money with any doubtful entry.
The organisers accept no responsibility for any damage or loss of
property, or injury to any persons.
All team members will receive brunch.
Please make sure you have completed all parts of this form before
NO FIREARMS are to be brought to the prize-giving at the Te Ranga Hall
or on school grounds. Please lock all firearms away
before coming to the event.
No alcohol to be consumed on or around school/hall grounds. This is a
non-alcoholic competition.
This is a public event. Photos and video will be taken on the Gala Day
23rd June 2019 and will be used for school marketing and
promotion purposes.

Direct payments must be made prior to Tuesday 18th June 2019 and must be
confirmed prior to registration closing.

Post or deliver to: Te Ranga Primary School office, 1492 Te Matai Road,
RD8, Te Puke 3188. Office hours: 8.30am-2.30pm or deliver to the
Farmlands entry form box in Te Puke.

No postponement date has been organized this year as there are now so
many hunts that it is very difficult to find an alternative date. Unless
the weather is extreme, we will not be postponing the hunt.
